Vehicle Description
- UK Registered December 1977
- 6 Owners
- 24,856 miles
The Mercedes-Benz R107 produced from 1971 through 1989 and is the second longest single series ever produced by Mercedes.
The Mercedes SL are becoming increasingly popular with collectors and the 190SL and Pagoda range values are all increasing. This next generation of SL’s have proven popular with investors due to the timeless looks, the excellent build quality and the history of the SL in the Mercedes range. Obtaining genuine low mileage well maintained cars is becoming increasingly difficult and therefore our car provides an excellent opportunity.
The wide engine range available from the 280SL straight six to the more powerful larger capacity V8’s provides customers with a choice of driving style. This 4.5 litre V8 is a powerful unit making cruising easy and where necessary a turn of pace easily achievable with 225bhp available to reach 0-60mph in 9.3 seconds and a top speed of 127mph.
Our beautiful 6 owner Mercedes 450SL was first registered in December 1977 and has covered only 24,856 miles supported by the MOT history. The 450SL is in Baltic Blue with a matching hard top and blue interior. The bodywork is in original paint and the bodywork is in very good condition with very few blemishes that could be easily rectified. The car formed part of the previous owners collection since 2006 and has covered less than 2000 miles in 21 years and was therefore examined carefully by our technicians and recommissioned for use in our workshops with a £2,000 bill for a major service, new battery, flush and replace all fluids, and various other necessary repairs to rubbers and seals and drivebelt replacement.
The car file has a complete MOT history and all bills and hand written records of use. Jasmine Porschalink serviced the car in June 2020 at 24,800 miles. This represents a very rare opportunity to acquire a beautiful and well maintained Mercedes Benz at ultra low mileage and number of owners as an all time classic and appreciating asset. Most other cars on the market claim low miles at c80,000 so a car with this mileage is very rare. The car will be sold with a full MOT.
