Commencing development in 2010 as the Cajun (from the Cayenne Junior), the name Macan was finally used in 2012, derived from the Indonesian word for “Tiger”. The Macan was launched in 2014 and provides a sportier drive than the Cayenne due to the 7 speed PDK transmission. Marketed as a sports car with 5 doors and 5 seats, it has a 3ltr V6 engine capable of producing 340bhp and a top speed of 157mph.
