Brian and Sue say farewell!

In May this year, after 21 years, our founders Brian and Sue Goff decided it was time to sell Jasmine. Brian and Sue have provided years of dedicated service to the Porsche brand and have created a very successful family company with an international customer base. Brian and Sue wanted to find a buyer for the business that not only loved Porsche but would see the importance of keeping the business family values and customer service level of Jasmine PorschaLink. Chris Gateley, a dedicated Porsche fanatic, was an existing customer of Jasmine PorschaLink for 8 years. When Chris and his wife Haidee were advised of Brian and Sue’s plans to sell the company, the future of the business was discussed and they decided to buy the business. Chris and the team have been running the business since May 2018 and wishes to keep Jasmine PorschaLink’s customer service ethos just as it is. That said there has been a lot of positive changes to date that will help propel Jasmine PorschaLink to a successful future: –

Chris has appointed Jonathan Higham as the General Manager to manage the day to day running of the business. Many of you will have met Jonny who has worked closely with Brian over the last 6 months during his handover. Jonny is the former Workshop Controller at Bowker Maserati and has spent his working years in the motor industry, serving his time on the spanners and now uses his passion for customer service to manage the team.

Staffing is not the only change. In November we invested in a new Four Poster Ramp in our workshop. This investment enables us to carry out extra service and repair work and ensuring we can safely handle larger Porsche models such as Macan, Cayenne and Panamera.

A revamp of the storage facility with new racking and a good clean out of obsolete parts stock, has created a lot more space for new equipment and used car sales. We have successfully sold a number of customer cars and plan to do more. If you’re looking for a car or wish to sell yours, please contact us to see if we can help.

In addition we invested in a Four Wheel Geometry Check system that will ensure we can provide onsite four wheel alignment.

We purchased a new up to date Diagnostic Equipment set that now allows us to identify faults on all Porsche models to present day. The equipment can re-code Porsche keys, reset Service Lights and code replacement electrical components such as ECU’s which can be a problematic and expensive repair without the right equipment and knowledge.  In addition to investment in people and machinery we have also refreshed the branding on our website.

Our new branding will be rolled out by 1st December 2018. Keep an eye out on our website, social media profiles etc. and let us know your thoughts! All feedback responses received before 31st January 2019 will be entered into a draw, the winner drawn at random will receive £150.00 off their next service!

Our rebrand exercise also includes new business card sized Service Menus which are specific to your Porsche model. We have taken the opportunity to update our service cards to include the full Porsche range. We trust this will make finding your fixed service pricing much easier by only showing prices which are relevant to your car. We are also updating our administration software. As a business we want you to receive the same level of service, no matter who answers the phone or greets you. We are currently migrating to a new Garage Management software where all your Porsche service and repair history will be stored, the software is a brilliant addition to enable a smooth running workshop and for keeping you up to date on the progress of your car. If we can go paperless and do our bit to save the planet, then bonus!

We have also refreshed the office and garage paint and bought new furniture in line with the new branding.

And finally, what about Brian and Sue?

Brian has helped us over the last 6 months with a handover to myself and Jonny. But he will still be a member of the team assisting our customers on Porsche car inspections and valuations. His experience and expertise will be available to us at Jasmine PorschaLink for many years to come.
